Casting Rumor - Darth Maul is Snake Eyes!

Ray Parks is rumored to be inline to bring the silent ninja master Snake Eyes to the screen for Stephen Sommers’ live-action spin on G.I. Joe.
Slashfilm is reporting Parks (X-Men and Star Wars) will take on the iconic role of Snake Eyes - one of the Joe’s original team members and a fan favorite. The character’s past is shrouded in mystery. In November, Sienna Miller was announced as the film’s Baroness – another iconic role from the hit franchise.
The film is being brought to the screen by Paramount Pictures and the plot will focus on a Brussels-based task force of operatives known as G.I. J.O.E. - the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity - who battle the evil Cobra organization. For the film, Cobra is headed by a Scottish arms dealer.
The Stephen Sommers film is set to start filming in mid-February with a targeted August 2009 release.
