Let's see - whom do we 'believe' in this squabble of SUPER-EGOES and mega-zillionaires??? BRAD PITT OR THE 'HONCHOS' AT UNIVERSAL??? Or to put it more succinctly 'WHO GIVES A RAT'S ASS'??? This is about movies, mega-bucks, and moronic-matinee idols??? SO WHO GIVES A 'SHYTE' IF PITT OR CROWE GETS THE LEADING ROLE???

I like Pitt, but this seems to be a routine with him now. He left Th Fountain and put out of work a bunch of people until it was revived with Hugh Jackman. Looks to be the same with this one, only Crowe will be the one to save it. Eh, Crowe is a much better actor anyway.

I can't blame Pitt for leaving The Fountain, that movie turned out to be terrible. Aronofsky should stick to directing, not script writing.

I hope pitt keeps up this behavior until everybody sees what an arrogant talentless bore he is. Send him back to Missouri or where ever
he's from and he can work at the local Dairy Queen.

Pitt is a self important pretty boy, but he's proven over and over that he's neither a great actor nor good judge of scripts. Crowe on the other hand is a fantastic actor and very choosy and intelligent about scripts and projects. If Crowe can juggle his schedule to step into this role, I look forward to him interacting with the other intelligent actors in the cast.

Anyone who's seen the original BBC production of State of Play will know how tough this role is and how John Simm makes it his own. I cannot imagine anyone else doing it justice - I just snigger at the Hollywood backbiting knowing that we've got the actor who's set the bar so high no one can match it!
