Kristen Stewart looks to 'Twilight' for next film

Kristen Stewart is set to star in the upcoming thriller Twilight for Summit Entertainment. The film is based on the young adult novel by Stephenie Meyer.
Variety reports the film will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke with Karen Rosenfelt and Greg Mooradian will produce. Mark Morgan will also produce for his Maverick Films. Twilight is set to start filming in February 2008.
The plot follows a 17-year-old girl who moves to a small town to live with her father. Once there, she gets caught up with a mysterious classmate who only seems to want to drive her away. A romance begins which only puts the girl in danger.
Melissa Rosenberg has adapted the screenplay based on the 2005 No. 1 New York Times bestseller published by Little, Brown. The book has seen two sequels published: "New Moon" and "Eclipse."
