Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan is gearing up to start work on her new movie, Dare to Love Me, after completing an extensive drug and alcohol rehab course in Utah.
Lohan left the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah a month after checking in following well-documented problems with cocaine and alcohol.
'I'm proud of her,' her mother Dina told People magazine. 'She's moving ahead with her life. Things were getting out of control. She took action. She took responsibility. She really needed to heal.'
Dare to Love Me is a movie about Carlos Gradel in which Lohan will play a mysterious European woman, who rejuvenates his life following a shooting attack in the 1930s.
According to reports, Lohan spent much of her rehab time learning to dance the tango, and will have an addiction counsellor with her at all time throughout the filming.
