Matthew McConaughey steals Wilson's 'Thunder'

Actor Matthew McConaughey will replace recovering Owen Wilson in “Tropic Thunder” the Ben Stiller-starring comedy that Wilson was recently forced to drop out of due to his attempted suicide.
The part is no more than an uncredited cameo, reports Variety. McConaughey’s cleared a week to shoot his scenes.
Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Nick Nolte, Bill Hader and Steve Coogan star in the film, about a group of actors who gather on a remote island to shoot a big-budget war movie and are forced to become the soldiers they are playing.
Tom Cruise was already rumoured to be considering appearing in a cameo too, but not confirmed.
