The title for the upcoming Indy 4 will be: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" according to one of its stars, Shia LaBeouf.
Shia LaBeouf announced the title of the long-awaited film at MTV's Video Music Awards.
We previously reported that Lucasfilm had registered six names with the Motion Picture Association of America.
In addition to the winning name, there was "Indiana Jones and the City of Gods," "Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds," "Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth," "Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Gold," and "Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Covenant."
Several Hollywood writers, including Frank Darabont and M. Night Shyamalan were signed to write the Indy 4 script, but Lucas didn't like.
Writer David Koepp came to the rescue to finish the script to Lucas and Spielberg's liking, and actor Harrison Ford signed on once again to wear the fedora.
The film has been shooting since June in various locations, ranging from Connecticut to Hawaii.
Other Indy news includes Karen Allen returning as Marion Ravenwood from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Ray Winstone was cast as Indy's "sidekick." Also in the cast are Oscar winner Cate Blanchett and John Hurt.
Sean Connery will not join the party, he is fully retired from acting.
"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is set for release May 22.
