Trio in talks for 'The Informers'

Billy Bob Thornton (pictured), Kim Basinger and Brandon Routh are all in talks to star in an adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel 'The Informers.' © J. Bailey / PR PhotosAshley Olsen, Jon Foster, Austin Nichols and Lou Taylor Pucci are also set to star.The movie will be played out during the 1980s and follows a week in the life of a movie exec, his wife, mistress, a rock star, a kidnapper and a vampire.Also joining the movie are Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster, Austin Nichols and Lou Taylor Pucci.According to Variety Thornton will play the movie executive with Basinger as his wife. Filming is due to start October in LA and South America.Ellis and Nick Jarecki co-wrote the script.
