Francis Lawrence directs 'Snow' with Disney

Francis Lawrence has signed on to direct Disney's forthcoming fantasy film 'Snow and the Seven.'Variety reports the live action film is inspired by 'Snow White' and will focus on a British girl living in 19th Century Hong Kong. The girl realises she is destined to defeat an evil force and prepares for the fight by training with seven Shaolin monks. The latest script is by Scott Moore and Jon Lucas and filming is expected to start next year, possibly in China.The title is a working one and will probably change.
