Stanley Tucci is in talks to join the cast of Peter Jackson's adaptation of 'The Lovely Bones.'
The Hollywood Reporter says that Tucci would play George Harvey, the killer in the story.
'Lovely Bones' is based on Alice Sebold's novel of the same name and is told from the perspective of a girl who is murdered and raped by a neighbour and then, from the afterlife, observes her family and murderer.
Rachel Weisz and Ryan Gosling will play the parents of the girl, Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan).
Jackson and Philippa Boyens adapted the novel and Paramount will distribute.
Filming is set to begin this October in Pennsylvania and New Zealand.
