Andy Fickman to direct 'Witch Mountain'

Andy Fickman has signed on to direct Walt Disney Pictures' 'Witch Mountain." According to The Hollywood Reporter the movie is a remake of the 1975 adventure movie 'Escape to Witch Mountain.' The original film was based on Alexander Key's novel and followed a brother and sister, with paranormal powers, as they flee evil men determined to exploit their special powers. The pair turn out to be extraterrestrials.
Matt Lopez wrote the current version of the screenplay.The original film also spawned a sequel in the shape of 'Return to Witch Mountain.'
