Columbia Pictures' 'The Green Hornet' is moving along as Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are said to be in final negotiations to co-write and executive produce the movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Rogen will also star in the film as the crime busting hero.
The story follows a playboy who inherits his dad's newspaper, the Daily Sentinel. But by night he fights crime as the masked Green Hornet and is aided by his martial arts expert sidekick Kato.
'Hornet' has been fighting crime on radio, television, and in comic books since 1936 but is perhaps best remembered for the 1966 series starring Van Williams as the Green Hornet and Bruce Lee as Kato.
Neal H. Moritz will produce.

Why let this guy write, direct, and STAR....give the fans a break and get a good looking actor with the same demeanor as Van Williams to play the Green Hornet properly? Maybe change is good, but some of theses comic book heroes were GREAT just the way they were originally portrayed.Sit back and direct and produce, fella, and get someone else to portray a great comic legend......now WHO for Kato?
