By M&C Jul 17, 2007, 5:01 GMT
According to David Duchovny a new film based on the 1990s TV series 'The X-Files' is now one step closer to being made.
Duchovny, who played special agent Mulder opposite Gillian Anderson's Scully in the series, told reporters he is due to receive the script very soon.
The Hollywood Reporter says show creator Chris Carter will direct from a script he penned with Frank Spotnitz.
Anderson is said to be on board.
The first film based on the series was released in 1998 and also written by Carter and Spotnitz, though Rob Bowman directed.

I'm so happy to hear that a second X-Files film will be made. I'm missing Mulder and Scully.
