Aaron Sorkin and DreamWorks pact on pics

DreamWorks has landed a whale, a whale of a writer that is.
Aaron Sorkin (West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) has signed a three pic deal with DW, first of which will be ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7,’ which Steven Spielberg may direct.
Spielberg and producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald have been developing this project with Sorkin for awhile.
Movie will focus on trials of protestors at the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago, where clashes between demonstrators and police made it one of the defining events of the '60s.
