Kevin Spacey - Cinerama Dome Arclight Theatre - Hollywood, CA © Scott Alan / PhotorazziSpacey is quite active in London stage productions, with eight years remaining on his 10-year contract as artistic director of the Old Vic Theater.Recent internet stories claim Spacey wanted to retire from film acting dedicating his time to the stage. In an interview this past June with “London Tonight on British television, Spacey was quoted as saying, "I don't care about my personal acting career any more. I'm done with it."However, now Spacey is being quoted as saying "My priorities have changed. Theater is the No. 1 thing in my life. But I love movies and will continue to make movies when I can."Maybe to prove his point, Spacey met with director Bryan Singer in New York this week and agreed to return as Lex Luthor in Singer’s Superman sequel, ‘Superman: Man of Steel.’ Singer, in New York to pitch his project, has Michael Dougherty (‘Superman Returns,’ ‘X2’) writing script.Spacey presently has completed two films Warner Bros. comedy ‘Fred Claus,’ which opens Nov. 9, and Columbia Pictures’ ‘21,’ in which he plays an MIT professor who teaches his students to gamble.
