Paramount takes wraps off Cloverfield

This week’s box-office hit, 'Transformers' released more than good guy and bad guy “bots.” In major markets, distributor Paramount Pictures screened a teaser trailer along with Transformers for ‘Cloverfield,’ a project they have kept under close wraps.
‘Cloverfield,’ to be produced by J.J. Abrams (director ‘M:i:III,’ ‘Star Trek’ 2008) and directed by Matt Reeves (‘Felicity’ TV series) revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a group of people.
Pic was written by Drew Goddard who worked with Abrams on ‘Lost’ and ‘Alias.’
Casting of the project was also done under wraps – no scripts or scene pages sent out, agents just asked for clients that wanted to be in a movie. Cast now includes Michael Stahl-David (The Black Donnellys), Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel (Supercross) and Lizzy Kaplan (The Class).
Movie budgeted around $30 million started shooting in New York in June.

I hate it when idiots say a movie is lame and just because other people like makes them stupid?? I wonder what kind of movies you watch that make you the smartest human on earth.
It couldn't be Rudy Jones 'the Parasite' because the Statue of Liberty is not in Metropolis.
its voltron...........
I seriously doubt its Voltron, they would likely use a much more clearly filmed approach more like transformers to show off the coolness that is Voltron rather than grainy hand helds. Or maybe I'm wrong and it is Voltron, in which case let awesomeness ensue!

Seriously it cant be voltron. people who say its godzilla and cthulhu at least have some kind of evidence to say why, but the people who say its voltron dont even back it up with any kind of evidence. they just say it for the heck of it! Man! I mean if it's going to be about voltron then they might as well make a power rangers movie while there at it!
In the trailer they say ' What animal makes a sound like that?' They also say ' It s lion and its huge!' Turn your speakers all the way up!!!!
