He does seem perfect for the part, though I'm pretty sure they're gonna ruin a great movie.

Leave the 1968 as a classic,a once off,it will fail as a remake

First of all, neither Brad Pitt nor any other hollywood 'star' can ever
be anything like Steve McQueen!!!!!!!! McQueen is an icon - he has no
equals for the movies he has been in.

It is a slap in the face to the memory of McQueen to think that anyone
could star in a remake of Bullitt and expect to portray the character
of Lt. Frank Bullitt as well as McQueen did it.

Please, tell me that they are dropping the idea. It is a disaster in
the making if they do remake Bullitt - with anybody!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont care who plays the roll of Frank Bullitt. Im concentrating on the real stars of the movie. The 2008 Bullitt mustang amd the new charger.

I would have too agree with most here. Nobody will top 'The king of Cool' That being said a poll of who is Steve Mcqueen. To the younger generation.came up with alot of 'I don't know'. If and that's a big If the movie is done in good taste. Not far from the original. with a great car chase scene. It could spark renewed interest in the original.and Mr Mcqueen and his great body of work. Mr Pitt is a top contender for this role. If it's true that he will be playing the role of Lt Frank Bullitt I hope he has Steve's persusasiveness the city of San Francisco agreed to back in 1967.

The jerk who 'doesnt care who plays the part' says it all as to a remake,no idea beyond video games as to film or cinema, will think the strobe effect type of car chase popular now is really it,the new version will probobly have drifting as the chase. they really shouldnt bother, another gone in sixty seconds featuring everything but the cars, let mr angelina go to the subcontinent for more kids

If they are really going to remake Bullitt, they should at least use a good actor and not some terrible director. The only actor that may be able to LOOK the part is Daniel Craig.
