Projectionist fired for bad movie review

29 year old Jesse Morrison, a film video and journalism major at the University of Memphis and a projectionist for the Malco Theater chain in Memphis, Tennessee was fired after he wrote an early review of ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’ for the website Ain’t It Cool News.Morrison maintains that 20th Century Fox, distributor of FF was behind the theater chains decision to give him the ax. Fox denied the charges.Morrison, writing under his on-line pen-name of Memflix wrote a review under the headline, “Memflix crushes all hope for ‘Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer.’"He also wrote reviews for Malco's movie blog and a circular distributed at the theater.This may be the first time an on-line reviewer has lost a job for voicing an early opinion online.

I can think of worse things than being fired from a movie theater. His future has now opened back up to real employment - you know, a career that can finally get him out of his parents' house.
