Director Tim Burton has fired the legendary horror movie icon Christopher Lee from ‘Sweeny Todd.’ Lee was to have played the gentleman ghost in Burton’s musical which stars Johnny Depp as Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
This is the second time Lee lost out on a major role, the first when the character Saruman he was to play, was cut from ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.’
Lee told the London Daily Telegraph, "It would have been worse if I had done the scenes, but I never got to film them."
