Russell Crow is branching out
Russell Crow has set up his own shingle, Fear of God Films and announced his first project, ‘Dolce’s Inferno,’ scripted by Mark Staufer, a former UK Universal TV exec.
“Inferno” is a romantic comedy about a hardnosed LA gossip columnist who falls in love and watches his world spin out of control.
Crowe plans to produce and not take a starring role.
Crow previously directed a documentary entitled “Texas” and will make his dramatic directing debut with ‘Bad Boys,’ a feature adaptation of a documentary about Australian underground surf culture. Universal and Imagine Entertainment are producing ‘Bad Boys.’
In another Imagine/Universal project, Crowe just starred alongside Denzel Washington in the Ridley Scott-directed ‘American Gangster.’
