Back in 1984 Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin (remember her – the operator?) starred in ‘All of Me’ which was directed by Carl Reiner. Movie was about a dying heiress whose sold inhabits the body of a successful attorney (Martin).
Well now, in the new millennium version, Queen Latifah has been signed by New Line to a remake of the film. New Line has had pic in development for a couple of years.
Adam Shankman and Offspring Entertainment partner Jennifer Gibgot will produce with Ira Posansky. Latifah will exec produce with Shakim Compere, her manager and partner in Flavor Unit.
Latifah has worked a couple of times before with Shankman – on Disney’s ‘Bringing Down the House,’ and New Line’s upcoming ‘Hairspray.’
Latifah plays Motormouth Maybelle in 'Hairspray.'
