Actress Sienna Miller, not Lindsay Lohan, will co-star with Keira Knightley, Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys in "The Best Time of Our Lives," directed by John Maybury, and begins shooting in early May in Wales, reports Variety.
Knightley's mother Sharman Macdonald wrote the screenplay, and it revolves around a rivalry between two women over the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (Rhys).
Miller will play his wife, Caitlin MacNamara, and Knightley plays his childhood friend Vera Phillips.
According to Variety the producers couldn't cough up what Lohan was asking for, so she was nixed in favor of the "Factory Girl."
Defamer muses a possibility that Lindsay Lohan losing her job in the Dylan Thomas biopic to Miller, "whose inevitable tabloid misadventures will probably be somewhat less damaging to the production than Lohan's."
Rebekah Gilbertson is producing with Sarah Radclyffe. Capitol Films is financing.
Variety reports Miller will appear in the Matthew Vaughan directed "Stardust" for Paramount. She just finished the Rawson Marshall Thurber directed "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh," the adaptation of the Michael Chabon novel.
