He’s played a private eye (Dwight – ‘Sin City’ 2005), a medieval knight (Arthur - ‘King Arthur’ 2004) and a bank robber (Dalton – ‘Inside Man’ 2006) and now Clive Owens has signed on to play an Interpol agent in Columbia Pictures’ ‘The International.
Tom Tykwer (‘Run Lola Run’) will direct from an original screenplay penned by Eric Singer.
Story revolves around Owen’s character who spearheads an investigation into one of the world's most high-profile and powerful banking institutions in an attempt to expose its role in worldwide arms brokering, corruption and murder. Owen’s efforts quickly turn into a deeper obsession when he comes up against more resistance by the very law enforcement system he serves.
John Woo, Terence Chang and Jeff Lurie are executive producing
