Rumor Alert: Wachowski Brothers to do 'Invasion'

M&C Movie News has heard that the suits at Warner Bros. Pictures have taken a look at early cuts of the Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig starring alien invasion thriller and had a “coronary”.
'The Invasion' is supposed to be the story of a mysterious epidemic that alters the behavior of human beings. When a Washington D.C. psychiatrist (Nicole Kidman) discovers the epidemic's origins are extraterrestrial, she must fight to protect her son, who may hold the key to stopping an imminent invasion.
Well, the WB execs did not like the Oliver Hirschbiegel directed version, commenting that there was “too much talking” where the audience had to “think too much”.
So they have ordered a partial rewrite and are bringing The Wachowski Brothers on-board to direct.
Fact or fiction? We will soon see. 'The Invasion' is slated to open wide in the US this coming August 17.
