What do you get when you put hot babes, hunky guys, and fast exotic high-performance cars together? A motion picture of course.
So we have the motion picture ‘Redline.’
Produced by Daniel Sadek, a former real estate salesman who has put together a car collection that includes a Phantom, Lamborghini Murcielago, Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes McLarens, the movies tag line is ‘Fear Nothing. Risk Everything,' which is exactly what Sadek has done with his costly collection.
Just last week actor Eddie Griffin (‘Norbit’) crashed Sadek’s Ferrari Enzo during a charity event to promote the movie. When asked what happened, Griffin replied, “The brother can’t drive.”
Andy Cheng (‘End Game’), directed the action flic which saw the destruction of another of Sadek’s prize vehicles (this timed scripted), a $200,000 Porsche Carrera GT.
Movie stars Nathan Phillips, Nadia Bjorlin, Angus Macfadyen (‘Braveheart,’ ‘Blackbeard’), Tim Matheson (“The West Wing,” ‘ Animal House’), and Eddie Griffin.
Shot in Las Vegas and L.A., the movie revolves around high-stakes underground street racing. Jerry (Matheson), partying in Las Vegas, makes a telephone wager with eccentric “businessman” Michael (Macfadyen,) that Michael’s nephew, Jason (Jesse Johnson), cannot make the drive from Los Angeles to Vegas in one hour and forty-five minutes behind the wheel of Michael’s Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. The loser of the bet will owe one million dollars. Jason’s exhilarating desert run, arriving in Las Vegas and at Jerry’s hotel suite with seven seconds to spare, sets the tone for things to come!
Sadek put up $26 million of his own money to finance the film, in addition to using his car collection.
‘Redline’ opens in theaters nationwide on April 13, 2007. The film is rated PG-13 for illegal and reckless behavior, language and drug references and has a running time of 95 minutes.
