Britain's Duchess of York is teaming up with director Martin Scorsese.
Sarah Ferguson and the Oscar-winning director are set to produce 'The Young Victoria' which focuses on the early life of Queen Victoria.
The duchess will join Scorsese and his 'The Departed' producer Graham King as a co-producer on the film.
Sarah revealed: "I met Graham King and said, 'Why don't you produce a movie about Queen Victoria?'
"All people see of Victoria is a melancholy queen in mourning, dressed in black. She should be remembered as a beautiful girl, skipping through the grass in bare feet. Hers is a wonderful love story."
Rising British actress Emily Blunt - who starred in 'The Devil Wears Prada' - will play Victoria as she is crowned queen and begins her romance with Prince Albert.
Sarah has already written a book about the former monarch, 'Travels With Queen Victoria'.
She said: "Queen Victoria has always fascinated me. I admire many of her qualities, and in some sense feel a bond of friendship with her. I was able to understand her longing to escape from the pressures of royal life and found her desire to broaden her horizons inspirational."
The film is set for release in 2009.
