Mariah Carey reduced a film crew to tears last week as she sang in new movie 'Tennessee'.

Mariah performed 'Right To Dream' for a scene filmed at music club Second Fiddle and it struck an emotional chord with some onlookers.

Director Aaron Woodley told The Tennessean newspaper: "People were weeping when she sang it. It was very moving, especially in the context of the film and her character."

The song was co-written with Willie Nelson.

Woodley says Mariah's appearances in Tennessee have been turning heads across the state.

He said: "There I am, sitting on the edge of a boxcar with Mariah Carey, breezing through town. We slowed down to go over a bridge, and there were people sitting in cars. I think they did a double-take. 'I swear I just saw Mariah Carey on a boxcar.' "

Mariah plays an aspiring country singer who escapes a controlling husband in New Mexico by fleeing to Nashville with two brothers.

The article reminded me of the days after Sept 11.well, we were all very shaky after the terrible news of the terrorists attacks in New York and the Pentagon, and one of our friends was going insane with rage because a guy she had broken up with and she had hopes to reconcile and even to marry, was living in NY at the time, and after the attacks she could not reach him on the phone or online anymore, and we all knew that there was a big chance of him being one of the victims, but we did not want to feel sorry for her or stress her, but we were at this bar and the video for Mariah's a song called 'Never too far' from her movie 'Glitter', started playing and we could hear the lyrics clearly, she was devastated, she started first calmly crying and then one of her girlfriends hugged her, we all cried and even some patrons in that bar who knew nothing about her story started crying watching and listening to that song. l can't wait to hear Mariah's new songs.
