London - Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren has her eyes set on playing Camilla, the second wife of Britain's Prince Charles, in a future film, the Sun newspaper said Tuesday.
The 61-year-old actress, who won the coveted prize for starring in the film The Queen, is said to admire Camilla, the Duchess of Wales, for having 'stuck loyally' to Prince Charles despite the public backlash against her.
'I am fascinated by the notion of playing Camilla. It made me ashamed for my country that people could be so venal and nasty,' she was quoted by the Sun as having told 'movie moguls.'
Charles' marriage to the late Princess Diana ended in divorce in 1996 and a year later, Diana died in a car crash in Paris.
Camilla had been Charles' close friend and lover for more than 30 years before they married in April, 2005.

She is right, how could a whole country be so nasty to 1 woman deeply in love?when diana herself broke up a marriage and she was not even close to being in love with him! Charles is just as bad if not worse he cheated on diana and camilla!
