I think it's very retarded of you to change Rachel Weisz's character with some blonde freak!!!! You have to have rocks in your heads!!! No wonder this movie is going to suck! Do you think this is a game. Some people are going to take this very personally!! Like Me!!! This isn't an obscene comment, this is a comment from an extremely concerned viewer!

I have to agree with the rest. Another part to the Mummy is like a dream come true for me. I'm such a big fan of the the 1st and 2nd part. I've watched it hundreds of times. But after watching the trailer and seeing the change of Rachel, I am really dissapointed that a whole production team would go through with something like this. I mean that's a movie no no. Especially when it's a 3rd part. No ofense to the new girl, but Evelyn is Rachel and the chemistry of Brenden and Rachel is inreplaceable. It really is a shame because it's going to be a downer for many Mummy fans. Some might not even consider going to the theatre to watch.

yeah... i certainly agree. no offense to maria bello, but rachael weisz definitely have that certain charm and she has bonded with the character of Evelyn O' Connell and it would be impossible to replace her. and we would be like kidding ourselves imagining another actress as Evelyn.

I would agree with the others. Sad to say when a certain cast has been identified it would be hard to try and change it...sometimes the connection wouldn't be there at all. With Jet Li and Mich there it would still be a movie to look at but without Rachel...its just has a different feel.

when i heard the mummy 3 was coming out i got so excited. i loved the 1st 2 and enjoy watching them time & time again. but once i found out they changed the person for evelyn, i dont even want to see the new one. i cant believe they would change her in the 3rd movie. it ruins it. i agree, a lot of fans (me included) will be very disappointed in this movie for this change.

Well, I am bummed out. When I heard a third Mummy was coming out I was excited, I love 1 & 2, but replacing Rachel was well...not cool. As many have already pointed out, the chemistry with Rachel and Branden is palpable through the screen. I mean, who can forget the scenes when they both looking at each other so intensily. Perhaps it is unfair to the new actress taking on the role, but once you are fan and you have been loyal to the first two, how can they make this triology and change one of the main characters? I think instead of watching this movie, I will opt to watch Batman and wait for the third Mummy video to be available on E-Bay.
Anyone knows, the reason for this stupid change?
