Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts in 'Need'

Aussie actresses Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts, best friends forever,are finally getting to work together again in a sexy thriller, reports Variety.
"Nip/Tuck" creator and now director Ryan Murphy plans to shoot "Need" for Paramount.
Based on Lawrence David's novel that centers on a psychiatrist who discovers that her new patient, a maniacally depressed woman, is having an affair with her husband. The film has Watts playing a psychiatrist, and Kidman as the unstable patient who steals her husband.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy was signed on to rewrite and direct "Need" for Escape Artists and Paramount Pictures.
The project has been in development for a while. Chloe King and Jon Bokenkamp were previous adapters of the book, and at one point Marcus Nispel was attached to direct. Actress Diane Lane, who was going to be cast is no longer is attached.
The film is part of a near four-year, $15 million deal for Murphy. He'll exclusively develop pilots for Fox, including the upcoming transsexual sports writer-led pilot "4 oz.", along with producing an expanded 22-episode fifth season of "Nip/Tuck" for F/X, which is moving locales from Miami to Los Angeles, reports Variety.
