I saw the movie and was pleased. there is no room for politics here.
It is a retelling of an ancient story. They get the job done.
I have seen uglier depictions of Eastern cultures. This actually makes Xerxes look as godlike as he claimed he was. I would consider that a compliment.
Leonides was portrayed as brooding and calculating with a stubborn streak.
he died for his countrymen. It's a good story. Those who don't like it ?
