Back in 2002, Adrian Lyne directed ‘Unfaithful’ starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
Well now Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures are co-producing ‘Unfaithful’ bringing back Gere and Lane as love interests. Ken Hixon and Anne Peacock wrote the screenplay.
“Unfaithful” is an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks romance novel. Denise Di Novie will produce – her third Sparks adaptation with WB after “A Walk to Remember" and "Message in a Bottle.”
In "Rodanthe," Gere plays a doctor who is traveling to reconcile with his estranged son. On the way, he checks into an inn in a North Carolina beach town. There, he has a life-changing romance with a woman who's trying to decide whether to stay in her unhappy marriage.
Film is set to start shooting in May.
