Oscar nominated director for his 9/11 film, United 93, Paul Greengrass, is going to tackle the Iraq war in a new film project.

According to the British paper The Guardian, the director is going to write and direct a film about the aftermath of the American-led invasion of Iraq, focusing on those that worked for the Coalition Provisional Authority that administered Iraq after the removal of Saddam Hussein's regime.
Surrey, England native Greengrass has been critical of the Iraq war, according to Variety, describing it as "the most calamitous decision of our generation".
Greengrass does not shy away from controversial topics, and has done several key projects involving terrorism, including 2003 BAFTA-nominated TV movie "Bloody Sunday" which dealt with the situation in Northern Ireland, and his 2000 BAFTA-winning TV film, "The Murder of Stephen Lawrence."
Greengrass studied at Cambridge University, then went to Granada Television School and spent the first ten years of his career as an intrepid documentarian, going to hot spots and producing the documentary series, World in Action.
In 1989, he directed his first fiction movie, "Resurrected", that won the Interfilm Award - Otto Dibelius Film award in Berlin. Greengrass won the National Society of Film Critics Awards, USA 2007 Best Director award for "United 93."
