John Cusack, full of 'Grace'

Gifted actor John Cusack's "Grace is Gone" was bought at the Sundance Film Festival, just hours after its Saturday world premiere. phenomenal talent-John Cusack... © Glenn Harris / PhotorazziThe drama, directed by James Strouse, stars John Cusack, who plays Stanley Phillips, a painfully shy Iraq war widower who takes his two girls on a road trip; the daughters are played by Shélan O'Keefe and Gracie Bednarczyk. The film was shot in the Chicago area and Florida."It was nice to do a character where you didn't have to worry about vanity as a prerequisite," Cusack said after the screening. Sundance programming director John Cooper welled up introducing the film, which was said to reduce the audience to tears.Cusack was one of the producers on this film, and minced no words when it came to his feelings about the subject of the war: "Our relationship to war and our relationship to that as a choice." He added, to applause, that he considered the Iraq war "madness."
