'Moldy Tomatoes' for Sharon Stone
By Stone Martindale Jan 19, 2007, 16:26 GMT
It takes a lot of huevos to strip on-screen near the age of 50 for any woman, and actress Sharon Stone, never without a swinging pair, is to be commended for her diligent upkeep in the looks department. It was her vehicle of choice, the "comeback" flick, "Basic Insinct 2," left a bad taste in many critics mouths.
The blonde beauty scored the Rotten Tomatoes Web site's Moldy Tomato Award for "Worst-Reviewed Movie of the Year." Page Six reports, "Sharon looked great for someone who's nearing 50, but the movie was like a less trashy remake of the original - it was unnecessary and boring . . . They made it knowing it wasn't going to win an Academy Award," said Tomatoes founder Senh Duong.
Page Six reported that last year's "winner" was the laughable Tara Reid film, "Alone in the Dark."
Unlike Tara Reid who seems to be on beaches in bikinis these days, Sharon is busy working and also raising cash for Lupus research.
Stone became proactive in helping to find a cure for the auto-immune disease when her sister Kelly was diagnosed with Lupus last year.
