Felicity Huffman cast in 'The Politician's Wife'

Felicity Huffman will star in Picturehouse's big-screen adaptation of the popular British series about a woman who acts out in an unexpected ways after discovering her husband's infidelity. 01/09/2007 - Felicity Huffman - The 33rd Annual People's Choice Awards - Arrivals - Shrine Auditorium - Los Angeles, CA © Chris Hatcher / PhotorazziHuffman heads off to Parliament for shooting in May, during her hiatus from Wisteria Lane and her "Wives" co stars, reports Variety. Nicholas Meyer has penned the adaptation for film. According to Picturehouse, Meyer's screenplay is filled with "intrigue and sexual politics."The 1995 Channel 4 miniseries was about an MP's vengeful wife who responds to her husband's infidelity in unexpected ways. Minnie Driver appeared in the series as a high class escort. Variety reports that Picturehouse, a joint venture of HBO and New Line, has critically acclaimed "Pan's Labyrinth" directed by Guillermo del Toro in release. Upcoming films include "Starter for 10," "La Vie en rose" and "Silk."
