Liam Neeson 'Taken' to Paris

With the Spielberg "Lincoln" project pushed out because of the ramped up "Indiana Jones," actor Liam Neeson is freed up and cast as the lead in "Taken," a Pierre Morel directed drama that film maker Luc Besson wrote with Robert Mark Kamen.
Besson's EuropaCorp is producing with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam and India Osborne, and 20th Century Fox is distributing in North America.
Production will be mostly in Paris, begins shooting Feb. 14th, reports Variety.
In "Taken," Neeson will play an ex-soldier whose daughter is kidnapped by slave masters while traveling in Europe. The soldier must track her down before she's shipped off and lost forever.
Morel and Besson worked together on "Banlieue 13," and Morel served as DP to Louis Leterrier on "The Transporter" and "Danny the Dog." Besson and Kamen, meanwhile, worked together on "The Transporter" films, "Kiss of the Dragon" and "The Fifth Element."
Neeson will reprise the voice of the lion Aslan in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."
