Lord Asriel played by Craig © Insidefoto / PhotorazziNew Line announced in Variety they have hired Hossein Amini, who wrote "The Wings of the Dove" to write the screenplay for "The Subtle Knife," the second book of Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" series.Chris Weitz is directing the $150 million "Compass" to be released late this year from his own script."The Subtle Knife," has author Pullman introducing the character of a 12-year-old boy who has learned the art of invisibility and is seeking his missing father when he encounters a vanishing cat and joins forces with the first film's heroine - 12-year-old Lyra Belacqua.

yeh its not gonna happen the income wasnt as good in america though allover it did well so theres not gonna be a second and if there is there wont be daneil craig and all in it
