Superhero Hype! alleged a possible "Prison Break" star Dominic Purcell starring as Bruce Banner in Marvel Studios' sequel The Incredible Hulk, to be directed by Louis Leterrier.
Fox's television series hit "Prison Break," and the recent African action-thriller "Primeval" has kept actor Purcell busy. ComingSoon.net asked Purcell about the Hulk rumblings.
"The whole thing was a rumor," Purcell admitted. "Marvel never approached me. It was just a rumor."
Comingsoon.net pressed the question, and Purcell replied: "Depending, you know?" he replied. "Really, I loved the first 'Hulk.' Obviously, if they can come up with that kind of concept, I would have loved to have done it, but they didn't and again, it was just all rumor."
What is confirmed is the Joel Schumacher "Town Creek" project written by Dave Kajganich, scheduled to shoot in Romania this early Spring.
Purcell plays Victor Marshall, and he discussed with ComingSoon. "I'm playing a Gulf War veteran who gets captured from this family that's in a cult that has this connection to the Nazi regime. I play this guy who escapes and takes vengeance on them. It's a very intense movie. I'm looking forward to it."
Dominic Purcell's movie "Primeval" is directed by Michael Katleman and is about the hunt for a 25 foot crocodile in South Africa, that becomes entangled in warlord crossfire. The film opens Friday, January 12th.
