Amanda Bynes cast in Morgan Creek's 'Sydney White'

Amanda Bynes, the Thousand Oaks, CA. native who starred in "She's the Man" has been cast to lead Morgan Creek's comedy "Sydney White and the Seven Dorks" with Joe Nussbaum directing, reports Daily Variety. Amanda Bynes - © Glenn Harris / Photorazzi

Amanda Bynes - © Glenn Harris / PhotorazziMorgan Creek is producing this comedy remake teen spoof of the classic "Snow White" tale and is scripted by Chad Creasey, with Pam Dixon as casting director.The film is set among students in their freshman year of college. Bitchy blonde patrician Rachel rules the Kappa Phi Sorority, and she is the top "dog" in the hottie department. Rachel eats her proverbial kishkas out when brunette Sydney White (Amanda) challenges Rachel, steals her boyfriend and has her Nelson Muntz "HA HA" moment in the sun.Sara Paxton and Matt Long are also part of the cast. Production is scheduled to begin February in Orlando, Florida. Universal Studios will distribute worldwide.
