‘Casino Royale’ is number ONE!
The James Bond thriller starring first timer Daniel Craig as 007 has past the worldwide record for a James Bond movie.
Over the holiday weekend, “Royale” pulled in $14.5 million at 6,300 locations raising its foreign cume to $304.4 million -- the forty-first biggest international box-office take of all time and the fourth 2006 pic to clear $300 million, joining 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,' 'The Da Vinci Code' and 'Ice Age: The Meltdown.'
Add to that Sony’s domestic $144 million for the pic and “Royale” has pulled in a worldwide total of $448 million -- $17 million better than ‘Die Another Day,’ the previous best Bond performer.
