Doubletree Hotels Celebrates 'Happy Feet' with Hotel and Movie Offer

By M&C News Nov 18, 2006, 5:31 GMT

BEVERLY HILLS, CA. -- Doubletree Hotels, the hotel that brought travelers warm chocolate chip cookies is providing a cool holiday treat. In celebration of the comedy-adventure film ‘Happy Feet,’ from Warner Bros. Pictures – opening across the country November 17 – Doubletree offers toe-tapping travelers the chance to take advantage of a great hotel offer for the holidays along with a family four-pack of movie vouchers to see what is anticipated to be one of the holiday’s hottest movie hits.

Whether shopping for those last minute gifts at some of the country’s top shopping malls, finding the perfect place to stay during the holidays or simply traveling for business, any traveler can take advantage of a special “Happy Feet” holiday hotel and movie offer at more than 100 Doubletree locations across America.

Guests who book a “Happy Feet” stay for any date from now through December 31 at participating hotels will receive two complimentary adult and two children’s movie ticket vouchers for the “Happy Feet” movie that can be redeemed anytime between the date of the hotel stay and January 29, 2007 at thousands of participating theatres across the nation.

‘Happy Feet’ is set in the great nation of Emperor Penguins.

Deep in Antarctica, you’re nobody unless you can sing — which is unfortunate for Mumble, who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune…tap dancing.

Mumble’s mom, Norma Jean, thinks this little habit is cute, but his dad, Memphis, says “it just ain’t penguin.” Besides, they both know that, without a Heartsong, Mumble may never find true love.

Leaving home, Mumble meets the Adelie Amigos, led by Ramon. The Adelies invite Mumble to party with them in Adelie Land, where Mumble seeks the counsel of Lovelace the Guru, a crazy-feathered Rockhopper penguin who will answer any of life’s questions for the price of a pebble.

Together with Lovelace and the Amigos, Mumble sets out across vast landscapes and, after some epic encounters, proves that by being true to yourself, you can make all the difference in the world.

“Doubletree Hotels celebrates Mumble’s ongoing quest to be true to himself and that being different and unique is a good thing,” said Ronnie Kaiser, senior director of marketing for Doubletree. “Our added-value ‘Happy Feet’ hotel and movie offer offers kids young and old the chance to enjoy a great Doubletree stay during the holidays and take their ‘happy feet’ to one of thousands of theatres nationwide, where they can dance along to what is sure to be one of this season’s best movies.”

Just as important for families, children ages 18 and under stay free in the same room with their parents or grandparents at Doubletree properties (subject to room occupancy and local fire safety regulations).

“Happy Feet” Holiday Hotel & Movie Offer rates are per room, per night for standard room accommodations. Participating hotels, rates and dates of availability may vary and are subject to change. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offer, award or meeting/group stay.

Terms and conditions on redemption of  'Happy Feet' movie ticket vouchers at theatres apply. Please mention booking code HF1 when booking your 'Happy Feet' Holiday Hotel and Movie Offer reservation.
