B's gonna beat B's a**!
By Scott Rosenberg Nov 17, 2006, 12:54 GMT

Ok, I don’t have a crystal ball, nor do I have psychic powers BUT I predict B is going to kick B’s “A” at the box-office this weekend.
Even though Borat, going into its third week is expanding 45 locations to play at 2,611 theaters across the US, James Bond’s ‘Casino Royale’ opening at 3,434 theaters is going to beat Borat’s a** at the box office – bringing in its first week out, I predict, more than or close to Borat’s international total at the beginning of its second weekend of approx. $42.8 million.
Male teens and young adults are going to like the new Bond – after all, it is really the only Bond they will know up on the big screen. And young teen women are going to swoon over Daniel Craig’s (Bond’s) rippled body.
In today’s stress related world fraught with terrorists – who is not going to like a true macho figure they can relate to – even if he was a figment of Ian Fleming’s and now Hollywood’s imagination.
Besides, with all the bad press Borat has received lately and all the positive reviews , Bond has received, including from HM the Queen of England, 007 should be able to blow away Borat.
Even though he has already signed for two more Bond flics, Craig told The Guardian he will be watching the opening weekend box-office figures to see how restricting playing Bond may be for his career.
However, I think he doesn't need to worry about playing anything other than Bond for awhile.
China’s Film Board has announced ‘Casino Royale’ will be released in Chinese movie theaters Jan 30, 2007, right before the Chinese New Year – great positioning.
"We are extremely pleased that the film has passed and expect it to be one of the highest grossing films next year in China," distributor Sony' Pictures’ Li Chow said.
None of the Bond films have ever been released on the big screen in China.
Lets see that’s approximately 1,306,313,812 Chinese times 'X' yuan per ticket……
