Baron Cohen's Bruno movie
Nov 1, 2006, 13:30 GMT
British comic actor Sacha Baron Cohen has landed a new £25 million film deal to bring his camp alter-ego Bruno to life on the big screen.
Sacha - who has caused controversy as the sexist and anti-Semitic Kazakh TV reporter Borat in his latest movie - is convinced the deal with Universal Studios will make Bruno, an extreme Austrian fashion fanatic, just as popular.
A source said: "Borat set the cat among the pigeons but Bruno will push things much further. He'll be going into the heart of the US redneck community to ask about really personal things. People in many parts of the States are not used to getting cosy with camp foreigners so the fur will fly!"
Bruno - portrayed by Sacha as "the voice of Austrian youth TV" - first sparked outrage when he appeared on the 'Ali G Show' TV series in the UK.
His antics included asking a clergyman what kinds of gay behaviour were accepted in the Bible.
Sacha's antics have so far outraged the leaders of Kazakhstan, anti-racism and anti-Semitism groups and gay and lesbian rights activists.

Cohen pushes the envelope... exposing the average individual for what they truly are, rather than some painted politically correct image portrayed by the corporate owned US media conglomerates. Absolutely brilliant.
In a world gone PC crazy, it is refreshing to come across such a talent.
I don't know why everyone acts so badly to borat and bruno, It's just a joke and they don't understand that.
Check out more stuff at http://www.BrunoMovie.tv
God Forbid something isn't politicly correct, every activist group goes apeshit, how about having a simple sense of humor and some common sense to know when and when not to take something so serious, I hope this guy makes 10 more movies based on the same material just to give these retards something to cry about.
Borat is a disgrace with his gayishness, anti-semitism, insensitivity to cultures and exaggerated humour which I hardly find amusing. To ridicule a nation like Kazakhstan, which did nothing to him speaks of what a really senseless character Borat is. Thank god this idiotic character is leaving for good! Shame on you Sacha Baron Cohen!
to the reeerard at the bottom, learn to take a joke. this is real comedy.
To the one who hates Borat most:
Characters like Borat, Ali G and Bruno are characters meant to
reveal the true nature of the people they interview. Call it baiting, call it manipulating. However, these three characters do more in unveiling the anti-semitism, racism, and prejudice of the interviewee than himself.
All ground-breaking comedians have been controversial. Before too long, we will hail him as the most socially engaging comedian to ever come along. Because there will be someone after him who you won't agree with and waste everybody's time with your hatin' comments AGAIN. In twenty years, I better not catch you at Best Buy picking up his box set. I may just have to crush you.
