Motion Picture Group, Inc. announces first feature release

The film is a rock documentary, following 24 star, Keifer Sutherland, as he takes his indie record label act, Rocco DeLuca & the Burden on their first international tour through London, Dublin, Reykjavic and Berlin. LOS ANGELES - -The Motion Picture Group, Inc., a film and entertainment financing and production company, announced Sept 7 that I Trust You To Kill Me, its first feature film production, has been picked up for North American distribution by First Independent Pictures.
The film is scheduled for an initial three-city theatrical release in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, opening first in New York City on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema on the Lower East Side.
According to Variety, the "consistently amusing and occasionally hilarious" film is "...arguably the best rockumentary since 'Some Kind of Monster',...the artfully crafted doc earns respect as an insightful and arresting behind-the-scenes look at what any band must endure to make that first lunge at the brass ring."
In the film, Kiefer Sutherland, Emmy-winning star of the hit TV show "24", takes his indie record label act, Rocco DeLuca & the Burden, on its first international tour and chronicles the highly personal journey of the hopes, successes, and challenges of the rock band.
I Trust You To Kill Me, the debut feature-length film of Manu Boyer, is a Motion Picture Group/MRB Production presented by First Independent Pictures in association with Ironworks Music, and was produced by Pliny Porter and Matthew Brady.
Producer Porter, the Company's CEO, stated: "We are eagerly anticipating the New York City opening on Friday. The filmmakers and cast will be attending the first Friday and Saturday screenings and look forward to meeting with moviegoers after the show to hear their reactions to the film."
The film opens the week of September 15 at Laemmle's Sunset 5 in West Hollywood and at LandMark's Lumiere Theatre in San Francisco the week of September 29.
