Dakota Fanning to Star in War of the Worlds

Dakota Fanning has is to join Tom Cruise in Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds, DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures big hitter for next year.
Fanning is a busy young lady having been recently attached to play Alice in live action adaptations of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass," which Les Bohem is scripting for DreamWorks. Read more about that here.
However, War of the Worlds will be her biggest role to date since it will team her with both Spielberg and Cruise.
