Click notches box-office victory in opening weekend

New York, NY, USA - The Adam Sandler comedy 'Click' scored big in its opening weekend, ranking number one at North American box offices according to preliminary studio estimates issued Sunday.
The film grossed 40 million dollars from Friday through Sunday. It stars Sandler as an architect who uses a magical remote control to stop and start his life, which chaotic results.
'Click' bumped last weekend's top film, the animated 'Cars,' into second place with 22.5 million dollars in ticket sales for the three- day period.
'Nacho Libre,' a wrestling comedy starring Jack Black, dropped to third place with a gross of 12.1 million dollars.
Another weekend premier, the crime drama 'Waist Deep,' raked in 9.5 million dollars in more limited release, ranking fourth. Fifth place went to street-racing sequel he Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,with revenue of 9.2 million dollars.
