It amazes me the lack of intelligence that one can find on the web. To think that Vin Diesel has a website like VinExperience is laughable. The man has better things to do. His websites are ones to promote his work and businesses. http://www.oneracefilms.com/ http://www.tigonstudios.com/ and http://www.hannibaltheconqueror.net/ not his personal life. Considering he is one of the most private celebrities in Hollywood. Not much is known for sure when it comes to Diesel, and to believe a fansite for news when they have no contact with him or without looking into the origins of the 'news' they are being supplied is just ludicrous.
There is talk, from the same 'fansite', that he backed out of Black Water Transit to 'finish' filming his pet project 'Hannibal', because he was seen in the Dominican Republic. I think he is there to relax, celebrate his birthday, and FINALIZE the locations he will use(cause that is what the Spanish article says, those people really need to have it translated a bit better for them).
But I don't believe that he is 'finishing' filming, because with a quoted projected budget of '$50 Million' from Diesels own lips which was lowered from the initial $200 mill mark; I don't see how a man can sneak a herd of elephants around 3 countries, which is what Diesels revealed locations have shown, cast a cast of, at the very least, hundreds, and traipse around in a kilt with out a whisper to Hollywood. It ain't happening.
So please jump on that bandwagon with all the other loons.
And here I thought movies sites listed real news from real sources like Variety or The Hollwood Reporter, or can't you guys afford the subscriptions to them?
It always surprises me when a movie site quotes a fansite so hastily with no inclination to validate the information via real news sources such as Variety, newspapers, news sites and more.
For instance the debauchery that is the misinterpreted junk that you report as news was taken (quite liberally) from this source:
http://www.elnacional.com.do/app/article.aspx?id=58073
The first paragraph of the news article says it all:
El actor Vin Diesel está de regreso. Dominicano confeso que busca terminar el rodaje de su filme 'Hanniball', pasó casi desapercibido por el gran público que asistió al lanzamiento oficial de la 'Misión Brugal', en la playa Caribbean Sun de Juan Dolio.
Translation:
Actor Vin Diesel returns. Dominican confessed that he seeks to finish the filming of his film 'Hannibal', passed almost unnoticed by the general public that attended the official launch of the 'Mision Brugal', in the beach Caribbean Sun de Juan Dolio.
Meaning that he is seeking to finish the filming of Hannibal. Perhaps my better judgement is obviously not something everyone possesses but I took this to mean that he had secured all the necessary means of preparation so that he could finish the filming of Hannibal. I always assumed that in producing films, there were many steps necessary prior to the actual shooting of the film and that does not necessarily include the film shoot itself. From what I know, there are three film locations: Hollywood, Dominican Republic, and Alicante, Spain.
I suppose there must be a level of devil-may-care in your reporting, and most likely you will continue but I must admit that I will think twice before coming to your site again. Thank you and good day.
Oh, VinXperience is Vin Diesel's official site? Who relayed this information to you? The people who run the site? Or did Vin's people give this information to you?
Come on, really
Of course you are right, VinXperience is not an official Vin Diesel site. The mistake has been corrected.
Regards, M&C Editor
I want to apoligize to you, M&C editor, for some of my rude comments. I was angry at the fact that more and more sites are posting this rubbish from that fansite. Not even looking into where it is this information is coming from. I want to thank you for changing your article, because honestly I don't think that others would have done the same.
Thank You.
Sincerely,
Syriana
Syriana,
we take comments which point out mistakes very seriously and your kind words encourage me to keep on doing so.
Thanks,
Ulf
