David Carridine as Kwai Chang Caine in TV series 'Kung Fu'A TV cult classic of the ‘70’s which starred David Carridine as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk who fled China to the American Wild West, where he helped the oppressed in a non-violent way.The series would always flash back, sometimes humorously, to times when the Shaolin Temple Master taught him principals behind the philosophy on which he would lead his life – always referring to Caine as “little grasshopper”. Legendary has reportedly optioned a screenplay from original TV series creator Ed Spielman and Howard Friedlander, a writer from the original series.While no official plot has been released, Legendary president of distribution and marketing, Scott Mednick said the film would ‘explore the events on which the TV show was based and the origins of the main characters.”Be patient my little grasshopper – more information will be coming your way.
