Cate Balanchett confirms Bob Dylan role

Cate Balanchett at Cannes (c)AFPAlso confirmed was replacement for Colin Farrell who had originally signed on to the announced $20 million feature: Heath Ledger and his partner Michelle Williams (‘Brokeback Mountain’) are joining the cast. Ledger will also poprtray Dylan in one stage of his life while Williams will play Coco Rivington, a model with whom an androgynous folk star (Cate Blanchett) is taken with.Also confirmed to top line the pic are Richard Gere, Ben Wishaw, Julianne Moore and Christian Bale.Director Todd Haynes has developed a close relationship with Dylan and said the movie has Dylan’s “personal blessing.”Production is set to start shooting in Montreal later this summer.
