Blueberry Nights are sweet with Portman, Law and Weisz

Straight off his job as jury president at Cannes, Wong Kar Wai (‘2046’) will helm his first English language pic and his first to film in the USA, ‘My Blueberry Nights’. He is also set to direct the thriller ‘The Lady From Shanghai’ starring Nicole Kidman in 2007.Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz and Norah Jones will topline Blueberry Nights.The film, a romantic comedy, tells the story of a young woman who travels across America to find the true meaning of love, encountering offbeat characters along the way.It will be interesting to note how the Hollywood actors relate to Wai's infamous directorial style of shooting without a script or modifying script on the fly.Cameras are set to roll this summer beginning in New York.
